Gratitude, writing + the beauty of believing.

 

 

This morning while scrolling through my inbox, and unsubscribing from a multitude of newsletters, I came across a sweet little presentation on the performance of my blog posts in 2014. (Thank you WordPress!).

While watching I felt a surge of satisfaction and a peak in gratitude for all of you who have been here, reading, commenting, cheering, sharing and sending little words of encouragement and love my way via email and social media.

I will admit that I had no intention of blogging today. And, as you know, I have not adhered to any kind of blogging schedule. I blogged when the spirit moved me, when something really inspired the pants off me and when I felt that what I was sharing would add value to you, and for you.

One of my writing idols, Alexandra Franzen, says that every time you write you’re either adding to or subtracting from the love in the world. The oh-so-wise and poetic Danielle LaPorte hits the nail on the head with this gem:

”All communication begins with an intention”.

My guiding word for the year was GIVE, I feel like we still have some work to do together, so I’ll be keeping her in tow for 2015. While I set to work on declaring some intentions for the new year I wanted to share a little poem I wrote earlier in 2014 about belief.

Here it is. For you. From Me.

THERE IS BEAUTY + POWER IN BELIEVING

In abundant health.
That wellness is your birthright.
In the power of your thoughts.
That fear is a catalyst for growth.
That your body is on your side.
That your thoughts shape your world even if you keep them to yourself.
In the transformational energy of self love.
In your greatness.
In your infinite potential.
That wanting is not selfish & that selfish is not a dirty word.
In your constant evolution.
That you’re not your dress size.
In your boundless source of love.
In baby steps that turn into giant leaps.
That each meal writes the story of your health.
That each nourishing choice brings you closer to fulfillment.
In bringing your whole self to the table.
In the beauty of true alignment.
That the universe is working for you.
That your soul is rooting for you.
In ease and grace.
That your external world reflects your internal world.
In energy, gratitude and love as the most valuable forms of currency.
That every nurturing choice inches you closer to the dream.
In your ability to wipe the slate clean as often as you like.
That you are worthy of having it all. Right now. As you are.
