Guiding word | SLOW

I find myself at the moment pushing, rushing, huffing and racing ahead of myself. I forget what I’m saying mid-sentence because I’m mentally forming the next one. Measuring myself against impossible standards nobody holds me to, but myself. And in turn, my energy is split and craving recalibration.
So here’s to slowing things down, way down to a pace that makes you itch. We think if we go slow that things will stop, that nothing will get done. Slowing down, or being consciously intentional with thoughts, speech and movement makes tiny micro gaps for mindfulness to swirl. For intention to breathe easily. For you to refocus and reset. I’ve been mentally sorting through some of the guiding words I used to share here as part of #thealignmentproject And while I’ve made some new personal commitments and work on my own mindset shift, I vividly dreamt that I was posting here a new word to guide me: Depth.
Personified, it feels like a permission slip to explore all the things: thoughts, the nature of thought, everything we take at face value, taboo topics (and what makes them), ideas, dogma, traits, ingrained behaviour, subconscious beliefs, habits and worn out narratives to their depth. The permission to take what resonates in my bones and leave the rest, knowing without a hint of doubt, that what is meant for me will never pass me by.
And also this: we are in a constant state of evolution. What serves us today will not be the thing that serves us in another season. So dive to your personal depth and use up every last molecule of your inner fire. Burn it all up because tomorrow will ask that you dive in again and your freed up energy will be the catalyst for rewiring, renewing and revival ⚡️💥 Got a guiding word of your own?
